Saturdays in the Fall

The last two Saturdays we've found ourselves with some beautiful weather and a little extra time, in part thanks to some canceled soccer games. Both times we quickly improvised and found some close outdoor fun. Two weeks ago, we went to a covered bridge and had a picnic dinner at a park. This week we hiked to Annapolis Rocks, a point on the Appalachian trail.

Here are some children blowin' in the wind...

I particularly enjoyed the part where Eliza started to speed walk and also watching Alvin drag Henry up the trail. Gotta love hiking with the kiddos.

Ok, so the apple cider float, betcha thought I'd never get back to you on that! It's about half cold apple cider, 1/2 ginger ale plus however much ice cream you want. Oh and with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top and a bendy straw. Enjoy!
